Transitional period : 2007 to 2012

After five years of questioning of his work, at the end of 2007 to 2012, date where he arrived in Berlin, Jean-Marie Barre managed to move from the figuration to abstraction. As a first step, it will seek in trial work, to release his gesture in painting. Then it will open to the aesthetic philosophy, and the work of contemporary artists. It would participate only in one collective exhibition: "Les Conquérants de l'illusion", Paris  / Apacc Montreuil / 2010.
